I can not stress the significance of buying vintage enough. Vintage dresses are my hallmark and I realize that being a patron of vintage garb not only celebrates designers and their apparel and accessories of yesteryear, it is also apart of being eco-conscious. Its the best recycling there is! Vintage is affordable if you know where to look and vintage garments, especially from the 1030's to mid 70's were made with remarkable quality and are still enduring the times!

YSL will be showing some serious love come Valentines! In the love tickered day YSL will give away 2,000 totes in NYC, Paris, London, Milan, Tokyo and Hong Kong! This is all apart of their next promotional campaign. This campaign features the vampire, I mean ageless beauty, Claudia Schieffer amidst Hollywood! YSL's creative director, Stefano Pilati has been using "the supermodels" of our young lifetime in past ad campaigns for a few years and I personally believe that their youthful and sexy maturity is welcomed and needed! Damn, I wish I lived in one of those fashion capitals come Valentines Day!

The End of an Era!

Original Domino Cover Four Years Ago!

I can't believe my FAVE magazine, period is discontinuing! When I heard this last week I called my mother and said that I was depressed. When I told her of Domino's demise she grew with dismay as well. We adore that magazine. I have been doing some interior design work and Domino is often my solo resource and guide book. Domino presented interiors that were not intimidating but beautifully dressed by some awesome but real people! I loved how they would offer such phenomenal information of where to go or who to go to, to get what you need for your design project! I bought the Domino Guide To Decorating last month and it has taught me more that I ever learned from a a myriad of other design mags and sites combined! When people ask me where I have learned what I know about design I tell them mostly from "Domino"!

Domino you will be missed but cherished!

The Mix Master of Classism! Oh Karl...

The Chanel Spring 09 RTW show in Paris is a testament to not only Karl Lagerfields creative exposition but is an ode to the fashion world as a whole. It is to remind us that fashion is created to serve as an outlet for expression as well as utility. We may be suffering an economic crunch globally but now more than ever we are going to see an explosion of magical garments from designers and we, consumers, will be able to have a wonderful selection of what to don on our bodies and feeling beautiful does not have to be a sacrifice!
